Successful implementation of the SEG-A system in the City of Bydgoszcz
SYSTEmEG in alliance with SPRINT S.A. has deployed the SEG-A system in the City of Bydgoszcz, Poland. Our parking management and law enforcement solution for paid parking zones is a supplementary solution to the Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) in Bydgoszcz.
ITS combines many elements aimed at improving city traffic control and smart parking management. Successful system implementation requires good understanding of every component of the Intelligent Parking Systems. We deployed and adjusted SEG-A based on customer’s specific needs. Now, in addition to the new state-of-the-art parking management, the Parking Authority’s officers can use multi-functional handheld devices. It makes their job easier and provides access to real-time data which improves enforcement efforts. For enhancing customer convenience, the City of Bydgoszcz set out to modernize its parking infrastructure in order to offer additional payment options on the new parking metres. The parking meters are wirelessly networked to Data Management System which provides the City with real-time data on vehicle occupancy.
The Public Roads and Transport Office in Bydgoszcz was awarded for the Best Implementation of Intelligent Transport Systems in Poland in the sixth edition of the Lider ITS 2015 competition.
The project was co-financed by the EU’s Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment.
